The following presentation is fast paced, cased based, and high energy presentation that reviews the management of electrolyte derangements.  Lecture includes review of life-threatening electrolyte disorders including hyponatremia, hyperkalemia, and hypercalcemia and their management.  Audience will become a hospitalist and work through complex patient cases encountered in the hospital.  Evidence based workup and treatments will be discussed throughout lecture.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, the participant will be able to:

  1. Review evaluation of hyper and hyponatremia and management.
  2. Review evaluation and management of hyperkalemia
  3. Review evaluation and management of hypercalcemia
